Remodeled Ranch Near White Rock Lake is Ready For Summer

As time goes by, one of my favorite things about summer in East Dallas has gone from Saturday afternoon at the Fraternal Order of Eagles pool to hanging out at the house, listening to a ball game on the radio with my son and husband, and doing some light gardening. Truly, outdoor entertaining is great, too, but as the summer goes on, there’s one scourge that is sure to keep me indoors: mosquitoes.

That’s why this fantastic ranch in Lochwood Meadows appeals to me. Not only does it have a great floor plan with cozy spaces and an extremely great location, but it has a screened porch in the back that is perfect for summer dinners and baseball on the radio. Inside 11017 Carissa Dr. in Lochwood Meadows, you’ll find out just why this listing from White Rock Lake expert Jenny Capritta is our Inwood National Bank Home of the Week.

This 1970-built ranch has been updated here and there for 21st Century life, without losing the gradual, meandering floor plan that makes ranches so attractive. There’s tons of living space in this three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath, 2,182-square-foot, single-story home.

“The large living area has a marble fireplace and a built-in entertainment center,” Capritta noted about her listing. It’s wonderful to see quality upgrades such as these! Look just past the entertainment center on the right and you’ll see a fabulous sunroom, perfect for a home office. To the left is the breakfast nook, which leads to the galley kitchen with plenty of upgrades.

The sunroom would make an excellent home office, with plenty of windows for your house plant collection.

The galley kitchen has a gas range, granite counters, and a cute tin tile backsplash.

As you can see, this home is perfect for family life, with a breakfast nook that is great for casual weekday dinners, a cozy family room, and a galley kitchen that has a very efficient floor plan. While Capritta loves how the home flows, it’s the master suite that she adores.

“My favorite thing about this listing is the master suite with sitting area and awesome boudoir,” Capritta said. “The fashionista will admire an organized closet.”

I love the oversized closet and the master bath feels plenty spacious, too!

Like I said, it’s the perfect little screened-in back porch that has my heart, though.

“The screened in living area is perfect for enjoying the great outdoors mosquito free,” Capritta added. “Mature trees and creeks make this a true urban oasis just 10 miles from downtown Dallas.”

Are you ready for summer like our Inwood Home of the Week? There’s time to put in an offer on this listing from Capritta if you’re ready for the Lochwood Meadows life!

Jenny Capritta of Re/MAX DFW Associates has listed 11017 Carissa Drive in Lochwood Meadows for $433,950.
