Stone-Clad Modern in Urban Reserve is Uber Hot!

We are just loving how hot Urban Reserve is right now. I mean, this development, the brainchild of the wonderful Diane Cheatham, is as spectacular as you’d expect, with incredible architect-driven modern homes side by side along a placid creek, right inside Northeast Dallas. The homes inside Urban Reserve are getting a lot of attention, and this one at 24 Vanguard Way just went under contract!

This home, listed with Virginia Cook Realtor Ed Murchison, is priced at $748,520 and has all the makings of a High Caliber Home. For a home like this, you want a lender who is going to make sure that you get the right loan. Don’t waste any time and make sure that you’re pre-approved with Lisa Peters at Caliber Home Loans, so the modern home of your dreams isn’t under contract before you can put in an offer!

The home, designed by MAREK Architecture, is called Jete and is absolutely gorgeous. It has a sort of boat hull, or cabin-type feel that uses plenty of natural materials to bring the modern design down to earth. Scott Marek, the principal at MAREK Architecture, has designed all sorts of commercial and residential spaces, and brings a hefty background in sustainability to the table. All of this is reflected in Jete, which is a perfect fit for Urban Reserve.

I love that you enter the home by walking over a bridge that spans a small pond. From there you’re greeted by a sleek concrete patio that sports a very cool outdoor fireplace. Everything is clad in what appears to be limestone, and with the metal standing seam roof, this home resembles a Hill Country modern aesthetic. And with more than 2,400 square feet, you’ll have plenty of room to move around inside and show off your collections.

“Enter the house under a low canopy, that quickly expands into a soaring in the living room,. The living room flows freely into the dining and kitchen areas where you gather around the long kitchen island to talk to your friends while preparing a meal,” Murchison says. “Slide the doors open to the porch to let the southern breezes sweep into the house. A long sheltering roof extends over the spaces in a elegant gesture similar in form to a grand jete in ballet.  This roof creates a variety of interior vaulted ceilings extending the volume of spaces in this single story house.”

The spaces are truly grand in this three-bedroom, three-bath home, and the finish-out is perfect, with marble, wood, polished concrete, and beautiful modern tile. The master bedroom has a courtyard outside, and the master bath is a five-piece affair with a gorgeous zero-barrier shower. It feels sleek, warm, and luxurious thanks to the wood paneling, marble counters, and high-polish chrome fixtures.
