For the first time the Tarrant County city of Westlake has made Zillow’s list of million-dollar cities, one of only 218 in the country and the third in Texas.
To be labeled as a “million-dollar city,” the city’s average home value must be $1 million or greater. There are currently 218 million-dollar cities across the nation, primarily in California and New York.
Texas’ three Zillow Million-Dollar Cities are all located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
- Highland Park in Dallas ranks as the top million-dollar city in Texas, with an average home value of $1,601,700 per home
- Westlake ranks as No. 2, with an average home price of $1,599,800 per home.
- University Park in Dallas is the third and final on the Texas list of million-dollar cities, averaging to about $1,387,900 per home.
Westlake is the newest of the Texas cities that made it onto the list just this year. Zillow currently shows 34 property listings in the city — and all but one are priced at more than $1 million.
