Villas of Lake Highlands To Be Second David Weekley Development in East Dallas

Houston-based David Weekley Homes is building their second community in East Dallas, with five houses ready for move-in this summer.

Villas of Lake Highlands will be a private gated community of detached, single-family houses near White Rock Lake at E. Northwest Highway and Plano Road. At build-out, the development will have 80 houses.

Prices start at $410,000 and the houses range in size from 2,308 to 2,904 square feet with five different floorplans. All will be built on 32-foot home sites.

HOA fees will be $1,450 per year, with a $300 capitalization fee at time of purchase. Community amenities will include include a dog park and swimming pool.

The area is zoned for Richardson ISD, with assigned schools Lake Highlands Elementary School, Lake Highlands Middle School, Lake Highlands Freshman Core, and Lake Highlands High School.

10671 Plumwood Parkway, $443,328

Two stories, 2,545 square feet, 4 bedrooms/3.5 bathrooms

The house is the “Lakeside” floorplan, with a two-story entryway, lots of natural light from large windows in the family and dining rooms, and an open floorplan. From the separate covered porch in the back, an entry leads into a first-floor master suite and bath. The second floor includes a guest suite with a private bath that overlooks a retreat area opposite a computer/media space.

10523 Plumwood Parkway, $437,551

Two stories, 2,545 square feet, 3 bedrooms/2.5 bathrooms

Another “Lakeside” floorplan, but slightly different than the house listed above. This house also has a master suite on the first floor with a large kitchen overlooking the family/dining space that includes a direct vent fireplace. Engineered hardwood floors begin at the entry of the home and continue throughout the main living areas. This house has several different types of tile finishes, including mosaics in the kitchen and master bath. The second floor has two bedrooms, a bath, and a large retreat that could be used as a media or game room.

Three stories, 2,975 square feet, 4 bedrooms/ 2.5 bathrooms

The “Peabody” floorplan for this house is designed with a pergola entrance and large entry with views of the first floor. Near the entrance, a private study adjoins the dining room, transitioning to the island kitchen. The second-floor master suite and bath occupy the width of the home. Three additional bedrooms and storage space are nearby. The third-floor bonus space could be used for a workout or media room.

10663 Plumwood Parkway, $474,386

Two stories, 2,904 square feet, 3 bedrooms/3.5 bathrooms

This house is the “Belclaire” floorplan, with hardwood floors extending throughout the first floor. The kitchen features a walk-in pantry, double ovens, and six-burner GE Monogram range. Covering over half of the second floor, the master suite provides a generous-sized bedroom with a sitting area that leads into the master bath and closet.

8666 Fanellanwood Place, $459,341

Two stories, 2,815 square feet, 3 bedrooms/2.5 bathrooms

The “Whitten” floorplan has large, open spaces with an oversized island kitchen. The second floor includes a large master suite with a sitting area just off the master bath and closet. Outside that area is a multi-functional area that could be a lounge or home office.
