New construction in Dallas in the low $200s?
*Tires screech.*
*Horn blasts.*
*Solo red siren from Dragnet magically appears.*
Dramatization? Or real life? YOU DECIDE.
But seriously, let’s talk about 650 Elkhart Avenue. It’s impeccable. The details are thoughtful, and many were hand-selected by the investor, Tracy Bennett, herself.
Just look at the double-ended modern exterior lights and tell us you don’t want to walk this walkway and throw open the front door to your home every night. Of course, you do.
If details like that don’t get you, the open floor plan will or the stainless steel or the modern ceiling fans that pair brilliantly with the contemporary-or-is-it bathroom vanity. (And yes, we know they’re in different rooms, but they still work together.) Nothing in this four-bedroom, two-bath Pemberton Hill home is uniform or matchy-matchy and that’s why it feels so fresh.
You know what else makes it feel fresh? The staging.
Sarah Nowak of Nowak Interiors did an incredible job with this South Dallas flip. All the textures and patterns and little pops of art showcase the space and help potential buyers see what’s possible. Personally, I want to high five both of these ladies for doing something a little different and making it look so dang good.
The other thing Elkhart does is help us ALL understand the importance of not just staging, but staging well. There isn’t a microfiber to be found in the entire 1,687-square-foot space. It’s clean, modern, and has a custom feel.
Each piece is unique and works together to create a home that’s pulled together with attention and care. It’s so easy to go to any big-box decor showroom for staging, but not this one. Elkhart looks comfortable and livable. It’s aspirational and attainable and definitely makes us flashback to the ship-in-a-bottle scene in Napoleon Dynamite where the lady whispers “I want that” with such conviction that we knew she was going to get it. Guess what, lady? Same.
Located just off Hawn Freeway, this house would make commuting to downtown Dallas a dream and if you’re into golf, it’s less than two miles from Trinity Forest Golf Club, home of the Byron Nelson. I think we’ll all give a soft clap and a congratulatory low whisper to that.
Marysol Robledo has 650 Elkhart listed for $224,999.
