It seems someone is opening a new luxury something-or-other every day, especially in real estate! Now comes word that another global auction house has reached into Dallas. With their immense global appeal and blitzing of media, luxury auctions have become one of the best ways to sell multimillion-dollar homes.

Or not.

Let us welcome Supreme Auctions, a Scottsdale, Ariz.-based luxury real estate auction company. The 13 year old firm has traversed the globe to help sellers reach buyers using their proprietary accelerated marketing system, designed to bring 200 to 300 people through a property before the auction process. All this is done within 12 weeks. And get this: at closing and funding, this company even reimburses the Seller for the up front marketing costs (that most Sellers usually cover in an auction) when the property closes. Now, with the addition of Dallas-based Managing Director Tom Charron, Supreme Auctions looks forward to expanding its market in Texas. They are already locked and loaded in Houston.

One of their auctioneers was even on SURVIVOR.

“We are excited to announce that our new Managing Director will be able to offer our luxury auction process firsthand to the Dallas market. We cannot imagine a more seasoned and talented individual to represent Supreme Auctions,” said Jennie Heal, vice president of Supreme Auctions. “Tom Charron is an experienced real estate professional with 30 extensive years in the luxury real estate arena, and he was recently awarded the prestigious Regional Impact Award for Texas, New Mexico and Memphis for his work in Luxury Home Growth and Production.”

Is this OUR Tom Charron, a local real estate broker at Keller Williams Preston Road who works with Laurie Moore-Moore over at the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing? Indeed it is. Yesterday Tom  conducted small group Mastermind Sessions for agents interested in auctions. Despite the gloomy weather and never-ending holiday parties, about 18 agents showed up.  Tom’s a Bostonian. He started as a middle school teacher in his hometown of Amesbury, MA. Since then he’s never stopped teaching. After receiving his master’s degree in Instructional Systems Technology from Indiana University, Tom entered the business world of real estate. He’s owned and managed three offices for Century 21 in the Boston area. His companies included not only residential sales but also, commercial, insurance, construction, and securities. He has served as vice-president of performance and development for Century 21 International in Atlanta, Georgia, senior vice-president of Henry S. Miller Realtors in Dallas, and owner of the first Dallas-based EXIT franchise.

Charron says his company can now provide a level of service that is unmatched in the industry, ensuring a transparent auction process that will result in the best and highest price the market will bear.

How will this be different from other auction houses out there?

“We have a 94% success ratio because of due diligence of all parties including the homes and the buyers.” he told me. “There is a tremendous amount of work that goes into these projects before the actual auction day.”

Often 20% of the properties are sold in the pre-auction process.

“The differentiator for real estate agents is that this an extremely aggressive commissioned opportunity for the listing agent,” he said, “that results in a very happy Seller.”

Today Tom told me he thought yesterday’s meeting went very well based on the follow up he is getting from agents.

“I am thrilled to be Supreme Auctions’ Managing Director in Dallas,” says Charron. “This will transform luxury real estate in our region by employing the same methods to sell luxury properties that the iconic auction houses of Sotheby’s and Christie’s use for fine artwork and antiquities.”

And we will be paying attention, Tom, you bet we will.
