This Lakewood Two-Story Was Built By Bentley Tibbs, Coveted By All

We’re mixing it up on this Tuesday after Memorial Day Weekend. Today, we’re going to take a look at literally one of the most exquisite houses I’ve seen — a custom-built home for the owner by Bentley Tibbs.

Tibbs is very well-known in the circle of circles and typically works in the Park Cities. This one is a departure. It’s in Lakewood. He has another one down the street over there.

Allie Beth Allman’s Alan Smith said it’s open and airy. His description is impeccable. He said as he walked the home, he considered what would stand out the most to Buyers. He couldn’t get past all the natural light that fills the 10-foot ceilings downstairs and nine-foot ceilings upstairs.

The owner said for him, it’s the kitchen. He’s hosted a considerable amount of soirees and no matter where they begin, the middle and the end were always in the kitchen. Gathered around the gorgeous island. And if you’ve peeped that pool, you know it’s tough to beat. But kitchens, y’all.

Smith said the home is literally designed to display art and all the walls feature a level five museum finish. This is one of those instances where the next owner has considerable shoes to fill.

The interior design of this house is almost unbeatable. It’s just so stunning. I really wish there was a picture of the cleaning closet because I’m sure it’s so tasteful it’s ridiculous. Like only this owner could make a broom and a dustpan look like it belongs in a museum.

There are four generous bedrooms, all upstairs, and every room in this home is large. It’s also unusual to find a three-car garage over in Lakewood, but because of the corner lot, this one has it.

I just can’t get over how literally perfect everything in this house is. If it were a human, it’d need to take a bow because it doesn’t get any better.

And the exterior is just as breathtaking as the interior. Remember when ice ravaged all our precious plants last year? This house was hit hard. But the owner is, well, the owner. He hired Bonick Landscaping to redesign the entire landscaping and spent a very, very substantial fee to do so. Now there’s artificial turf in the backyard, too, surrounding the pool.

Obviously, turf is a brilliant choice given the loss of plant life we all recently sustained. But also, it’s durable, doesn’t get blazing hot and adds a little lush feeling to your outdoor getaway. It seems to be a trend we’re seeing more and more, too.

And if they did it here, well, I’d just go for it and mimic ANYTHING that you see at the one, the only 6939 Pasadena Avenue.

Smith has this 3,912-square-foot home listed for $1.799 million.
