Look, it’s got stained glass and everything. What could possibly go wrong?

So, about 20 awesome readers of the Wednesday WTF sent me this listing for this uh, charming abode in Australia. So obviously, it’s this week’s column, right?duh

I mean, I’ll be honest, at first this rock house seems like a real historic charmer. It has a clawfoot tub, for chrissakes, which everyone knows means it’s both historic and fancy.

duh

duh

And it really is a charming house. Look at all the period details. Look at the fireplaces.

Look at the pretty grounds. There’s even a pool.

I mean, you know something’s coming, right? It’s Wednesday. Something’s coming.

duh

Look at the pretty dining room with the oh…

duh

Is that …

duh

I’ll be honest. That’s not the scariest thing in the house. Not by a long shot.

Because, well …

The listing is completely truthful, too, although the realtor does put um, a positive spin on it, if one can put a positive spin on death monster decor in three rooms.

“Mystery and intrigue, OMG beats anything you will ever see, it’s at every turn!

History, excitement. Challenge your senses. If you are a scaredy cat, don’t come.

I’m so excited and privileged just to see this two storey blue-stone residence, its not for the faint hearted but WOW, what a property.

This has been in the same family since 1977. The family of six best describe the fun and good times as Mrs Bates in the Hitchcock movie. The house on the hill.”

So … yeah.

duh
