My search was for seven nights from Nov. 21 to 28. Do you remember back in September I gave you a gentle reminder to start thinking about Thanksgiving? We’re now a little over a month away. If you want to be hiking and skiing instead of eating at the kid’s table, it’s time to book! I was surprised that there were still some treasures available at this late date but here they are!
7 Castles Ranch in Basalt
The heart of the Colorado Rockies is the location for a true nature-lover’s Thanksgiving vacation. This completely remodeled classic Aspen A-Frame is called 7 Castles Ranch and fulfills the image of every Western film you’ve seen. Set on the western slope of the Continental Divide on the Frying Pan River, you might expect to see a covered wagon, but you’ll find a sauna and a hot tub instead! There are spectacular views, that National Forest, private fishing, and wilderness hiking all just outside the front door. If you want to ski, you are only thirty minutes from Aspen.

I came with a group of 10, and we had plenty of space to move about, and we will all be raving about our stay for years to come. The views from the hot tub alone during the day were spectacular, and there’s so much to do in the area. 10/10 would book again!”
