Just 40 minutes north of Downtown Dallas, one of our region’s most newsworthy suburbs sits like an oasis for easy living. For years, Frisco has been an up-and-comer in terms of culture, cuisine, shopping, and entertainment. What was once little more than wide-open farmland is now the home to over 200,000 residents. In fact, since the year 2000, Frisco was named the fastest-growing city in the U.S. 10 times.

Recently, it was revealed that Frisco has even more going for it than rapid growth. In a study by the University of Pennsylvania, researchers found that Frisco is the fifth happiest city in America. It scored number one in criteria of marriage rate (62.6 percent) and residents living below the poverty level (2.5 percent).

Frisco was also recently named the safest city in America for the second year in a row, according to a study by SmartAsset.

If this data makes you want to move to this magnificent location, we have a few incredible pics for you in the housing department.

Live Like a King in Collin County

Address: 10701 Rogers Road

  • Six Bedrooms, Eight Bathrooms
  • 7,796 square feet
  • $3,750,000

I’m starting this off with one of the most iconic homes in the city. A bona fide Frisco castle with a lazy river in the backyard, listed by none other than Frisco Mayor Jeff Cheney. (He’s also got a great house for Luka’s new right-hand-man, Kyrie Irving if y’all want to pass the message along.) Aside from serving the highest office in town, Mayor Cheney also runs the Cheney Group under Monument Realty.

“This is an iconic property in Frisco,” says Cheney. “Referred to as the castle house, it is right in the heart of Frisco. It’s an entertainer’s dream with an enormous backyard pool, lazy river, even a wine cellar in the basement.”

For those with larger-than-life ambitions, this home is truly unique. Aside from featuring six bedrooms and eight bathrooms, the opulence and amenities within this home were constructed in such a creative manner.

“For the buyer,” says Cheney. “This home provides a one-of-kind castle-like experience with all the privacy and security that goes along with it. Of course, all the amenties and attractions of Frisco are still at your fingertips.”

  • $715,000

If a literal castle isn’t in your budget, have no fear. Frisco offers some of the best prices per square footage in the country. This next home is an incredible example of just how far your housing dollar will go in this town.

“What I love about this home,” says listing agent Andres Delgado. “Is the sheer amount of space it provides. The floorplan is open and there is a ton of natural light from the abundance of windows.”

Of course, what would a dream home be without a dream backyard?

“I love the backyard here,” says Andres. “It’s low maintenance, and perfect for entertaining. Beautiful inlaid stone, turf, and even a putting green make this property unique.”

  • Six Bedrooms, Five Bathrooms
  • 4,184 square feet
  • $764,900

Our final home this week is an incredible find at Meadow Hill Estates just below Frisco Commons. This home features a ton of updates including upgraded stainless steel appliances, a new roof, retiled pool, and a freshly painted mother-in-law suite.

Like the other homes this week, this one is perfect for entertaining. The backyard features a beautiful heated pool and spa with a whole lot of deck space and a turfed lawn. The home also includes a wine cellar, butler’s pantry, and a game room upstairs.

“It fits many parameters of what homebuyers are looking for right now,” says listing agent Steven McKimmey. “It’s in the Frisco school disctict. It has an inlaw suite. It’s a huge home and it’s north-facing. Also, the owner is continuously updating it.”
