I swear, Karen Eubank, the maven behind Eubank Staging and sometimes contributor here on our little blog, has been telling me about this project for weeks. It’s an incredible Tudor at 5747 Morningside in the M Streets. It’s priced at $649,000 and has three bedrooms and two baths. And it just got one of the most incredible makeovers. Here’s the short of it:
Eubank, along with Realtor Karen Hettrick of Herron Realty, worked for three weeks straight to whip this adorable home into shape for the market. While the home was already a beauty, it needed some fine tuning. Basically, like most of us, the owner had too much “stuff,” and all that “stuff” we love, well, buyers don’t love it so much.
This Incredible 1940s Tudor is located in the heart of the M-streets. I knew the moment I saw it that it had tremendous potential. The oversized rooms and the original charm and character that this home features was unparalleled,” said Hettrick. “As is very common, we had a seller that has a very busy life and a very demanding job. Consequently, the house was not quite market ready.”
In comes Eubank, who helped box up, paint, patch, and basically glamourize this 3,000-square-foot home (including guest house) and it is just universally amazing.
“This is the sort of project I absolutely love. A great house in a desirable and highly walkable neighborhood with sellers that trust you to do your job,” said Eubank. “My first call was to Serenity Packing Service. The issue with packing things yourself is if you’re in a hurry you look at each item in every drawer and start to reminisce and share memories about what you’re finding. A professional team doesn’t have those attachments and they can whip through it, organize all your boxes and boom — your whole house is packed in a couple of days.”
In the middle of packing, Eubank had Lance Selgo of Unique Exposure Photography snap some “before” photos because “I knew the transformation was going to be a big one.” Selgo returned for the “after” photos. As you can see, the difference is amazing.
