1620 Airpark Lane has a garage for your cars and a hangar for your airplane.

Just like you’d park your SUV in your garage, you can park your plane in your own hangar at this 6,496-square-foot home in west Plano. We’ve written about this unique property at 1620 Airpark Lane before, and it’s on the market for $1,469,000 by Jack McLemore of Listing Results LLC.

This Airpark Lane property near Willow Bend Mall has five bedrooms and five baths located over 5,488 square feet. There’s a bridge to a 2,323-square-foot airplane hangar aka “toybox,” and a 1,008-square-foot heated and air-conditioned first-floor workshop with a half bath. An upper mezzanine holds a hobby/recreation room and tons of storage.

The 1999-built soft contemporary home is located at Dallas Air Park, which was built in 1965 by Milton Noell, former mayor of Addison, and his son David Noell. The Noells envisioned the concept of the en-estate airplane hangars at Air Park Estates would appeal to top jet-setters. In 1983, Milton Noell sold a 50 percent share of airport ownership to Henry Billingsley and Lucy Crow Billingsley, daughter of Trammell Crow. The airport, officially Airpark Dallas F69, has a 3,200-foot lighted runway for general aviation purposes.

This home has four living areas with carpet and hand-scraped hardwood floors and a newly updated kitchen with stainless steel appliances, granite counters, island with seating, and custom bar. Plus, wine enthusiasts will love the custom wine room. It’s zoned for Plano ISD, and in attendance zones for the top-rated elementary and middle schools.

Outside, the home has a heated pool and spa with custom tile and coping, 529 Bermuda grass, and a lighted sports area with golfing green. It’s a one-of-a-kind house in west Plano that’d be perfect for the right owner, and anyone who appreciates a little piece of Collin County real estate history.
