Stevens Park is a neighborhood on the rise in North Oak Cliff, near near Fort Worth Avenue and North Hampton Road. Convenient location close to a golf course, the Bishop Arts District, and downtown Dallas are just some of the reasons people love it here.

The 1961 house at 1254 Fullerton Dr. is our Thursday Three Hundred and it’s a beaut with soft contemporary updates, vaulted ceilings, and original brickwork that looks marvelous. With three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and 1,719 square feet on one story, it’s a good-sized property, too.

Stevens Park is an established neighborhood shaded by arching oaks and elms, and bounded by lush municipal golf course. It is truly a lovely place to call home.

Creative and meticulous updates marry original features with on-trend updates, like era-appropriate quartz flooring in the foyer next to variegated tile floors that look like hardwoods. The front living area is divided from the dining and kitchen area by a floor-to-ceiling original brick wall. Tons of natural light make these common areas light and bright.

Kitchen updates create an open area with lots of cabinet space and stainless steel appliances, include a five-door refrigerator and high-end DCS gas range. The countertops could use updating, a cosmetic fix that would fall to new owners. This space would have great flow for entertaining.

Faux bois tile flooring extends into the bedrooms — no carpet in sight. The master bathroom is updated with a smart-looking contemporary dual-sink vanity, but it is separated from the bedroom only by a curtain (though the Kohler toilet is behind a pocket door — phew). The secondary bathroom has the same cool quartz flooring as the flooring and original tile.

In back, take in the recently installed 30-year roof, small open patio, and privacy fence. Decent amount of room for furry friends or kids to run around and get fresh air.

This home was listed Feb. 28 by Perry Flowers III with Ebby Halliday Lakewood for $315K, reduced to $305,000.
