Did you ever fantasize about living in a treehouse?

Two of my favorite movies growing up were Swiss Family Robinson and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.  While vastly different in story and genre, both movies prominently featured treehouse living that made me want one so badly.

If you want to live completely surrounded by trees – 5340 Quail Run is just what you need!

The Robinson family built their elaborate treehouse out of salvaged wood from their ship.  In Return of the Jedi, the Ewoks lived in a village built high in the trees on the planet Endor.

There is just something so fascinating about being surrounded by trees and greenery while hanging out in your home.  There is a sense of privacy and certainly peace that accompanies a treehouse. And that’s what you get at 5340 Quail Run St.

If you have similar nostalgia and desire for a unique treehouse living option, then you’re going to love Tarrant County Tuesday for this week. Not only is 5340 Quail Run hidden among the trees of Fort Worth on a one-of-a-kind homesite, it is an endless opportunity for the next owner to put their own stamp on the home.

Think of all the money you’ll save by NOT buying curtains. There’s no need.

Built in 1976 by renowned architect Elbert Spence, this is the first time the home has ever been on the market. Its original owners were legendary Fort Worth advertising executive Frank Burkett and his wife.

No Curtains Necessary

Literally every window in this awesome treehouse is blanketed by the beautiful foliage of oak, pecan, fir, and who knows what other types of trees.  It’s so private that there’s no need to spend money on expensive curtains or drapes.

In all, the split-level home of approximately 2,846 square feet features three bedrooms, three baths, and two family rooms.  A large section of the home has original hardwood floors that compliment the exterior surroundings well.

The back of 5340 Quail Run offers plenty of levels to enjoy the trees and seclusion.

This treehouse is a spectacular opportunity for someone with a vision to transform the home into a masterpiece.  The exterior of the home is set, the possibilities for an updated, modern interior are endless.

Ted and Ida Duwe-Olsen of Williams Trew Real Estate are putting 5340 Quail Run on the market tomorrow for $599,000.

Well, that’s all we have from this week’s  Tarrant County Tuesday, Dirty Readers.  Thanks for reading and following and sharing! As always, if you have questions, comments or great ideas for a post … hit me up!
