Near Southside May Be Hip, But Magnolia Green is Happening

There was a time, probably 12 to 15 years ago, when no one would walk down Magnolia Ave. after dark.  Many wouldn’t even walk down Magnolia Ave. during the day. There was no point. There were a few restaurants and shops to visit, but those establishments mainly catered to the breakfast and lunch crowds and were shuttered by mid-day.

That Was Then, This Is Now

It’s hard to believe the best local restaurant and bar street in all of Fort Worth was once a little spooky.  Not anymore.

The kitchen has a lot of counter and island space and tons of cabinets.

Magnolia Ave is now the hub of the Near Southside — just south of Interstate 30 and the majority of hospitals in Fort Worth and west of Interstate 35.  Whatever your desired food, you can probably find it on Magnolia Ave.

Weekends often bring street fairs, concerts, outdoor eating, and families of all ages and sizes walking along with the street, window shopping.  To say the area has been revitalized would be an understatement.

The second floor of 1200 Lipscomb is an open kitchen/dining/living with private balcony facing the Magnolia Green Park.

One of the first pieces that helped bring this grand rue to life was the Village Homes three-story townhome project, Magnolia Green.

Growth of Magnolia Green

Anyone will tell you in order to revive an older area of a city you have to infuse it with attractive housing and density.  The more people the more perceived community and security.  The more community and security the more businesses will flock to serve their clients.

Urban living at its finest — great views from just about every window in the master suite.

In 2007 these stucco structures were introduced to the Fort Worth public.  Urban living was springing to life and the idea of a walk-able neighborhood was mostly something people in larger cities talked about, but hadn’t made its way to Fort Worth.

This particular townhome at 1200 Lipscomb Street is part of Magnolia Green and looking for new owners.  This 2,244-square-foot townhome faces the Magnolia Green park where there are often concerts, shows and other fun gatherings.

The master bathroom is spacious and has separate tub and shower.

Built as a two-bedroom, two-and-one-half bathroom the plan also allows for a private den or office off the master suite.

Save The Best For Last

Of course, the cherry on top is literally the top … the rooftop deck.  Amazing panoramic views of the ever-changing Fort Worth skyline are second to none.

Enjoy the rooftop deck and views for miles and miles at 1200 Lipscomb Street.

Nothing is more enjoyable than hanging out on the rooftop deck on a warm and sunny day and enjoying watching the scene for miles and miles.  Imagine the dinner parties, the lazy Saturday afternoons, and the evening nightcaps that a rooftop deck will bring.

This urban home at 1200 Lipscomb Street is listed by Joseph Romero of Williams Trew Real Estate for $429,000.
