The Eberhard hosted an unlikely combination of causes and brands that turned out just right. It was where Rogers Healy Realtors Alex Prins and Ryan Schwartz hosted a fashion show for designer Stephen Goudeau, all benefiting no-kill shelter Operation Kindness. And it was a raging success.

Schwartz, who was once a marketing and PR professional for a 5th Avenue fashion brand, says that the Adopt Fashion event on Aug. 20 was all about the animals for him. “I’ve always had animals growing up, and I just recently adopted a fur-baby of my own,” he said.
But for Prins, the event was much more personal.
“I grew up in foster care, and I eventually ended up getting adopted,” Prins said. “As a Realtor, when I see someone find their home, it’s such a beautiful thing. It’s a circle of life for me, because at one time I didn’t have a home of my own. I decided to team up with Operation Kindness and with Stephen Goudeau to help these pets find their homes, too.”
Is it dusty in here? Hold on. Let me find a tissue.

It was a banner night for Goudeau, too. The designer is already established in New York and Los Angeles, but wanted to break into the Dallas market. With an edgy aesthetic and an almost architectural quality to his designs, the Shreveport, La., native dazzled the audience. While models from Dallas’ Campbell Agency slunk across the hardwood floor of the club, I could easily imagine some of these gowns gracing the Crystal Charity Ball.
Overall, it was a fabulous turnout for a great cause. Big thanks to sponsors Rogers Healy and Associates, Oak Mortgage, Park Place Motorcars, Max’s Wine Dive, and David Weekley Homes!
