We love it when we see a builder truly find their niche, and that’s just what JLD Custom Homes has done in East Dallas. This daltxrealestate.com Approved Builder has constructed several new homes throughout the M Streets and beyond, using classic architecural styles and green-building philosophy to bring new homes that work with a neighborhood’s character.

“This home sits on a corner lot with a electric gated driveway and is just two blocks from Trader Joe’s and all the great restaurants on lower Greenville,” said Jeff Dworkin, president of JLD. “This is the third home that JLD Custom Homes has built on this corner.”

It just hit the market, too, and Gia Marshello of Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty has this adorable prairie-style home at 5900 Prospect listed for $774,900. For brand new construction in the thick of it all in East Dallas, that’s a pretty decent price!

When we say that this home was “just completed” we mean that they just pulled the protective coverings off the floor for these few photos! Dworkin notes that this home hits all the high notes for buyers, including a huge eat-in kitchen with an oversized island topped with quartz countertops and more cabinet space than homes twice the size.
“The mudroom has a Pottery Barn-inspired built-in to drop those backpacks and dirty shoes when you come in from the two-car attached garage,” Dworkin said.
While this home has four bedrooms and three full baths, the first floor bedroom with adjacent bath can also be used as a study. “Upstairs there is a built-in study area for the kiddos at the top of the stairs, adjacent to their two bedrooms with a Jack-and-Jill bath,” Dworkin said. “The master runs the whole side of the home, and the luxurious bathroom has a large walk-in shower with an adjacent whirlpool tub. The master closet is the size of a small bedroom with tons of shelving and lots of places to hang all those clothes.”

“This home will average less than $150 per month in electric bills,” he said.

Considering that this home is more than 3,300 square feet, that’s pretty great!
