Dallas Builders Association Executive Officer Phil Crone is moving on, the longtime local leader announced Monday. Crone, a daltxrealestate.com Newsmaker of the Year, led the Dallas Builders Association for 17 years.
In an email to community partners titled “My Next Steps,” Crone said he has accepted a position as vice president of Leading Builders of America.
The Washington, D.C.-based company aims to “preserve home affordability for American families,” according to its website. Crone told daltxrealestate.com he will not relocate and “may make a random appearance or two at some Dallas BA events to check in with everyone.”
“This new role will allow me to take on additional challenges and continue to serve many of you in a new capacity. My responsibilities will see me heavily involved with the code development process and with numerous legislative and regulatory challenges facing our industry across the nation,” Crone said in his email.
Working with our dedicated team here at the Dallas BA, I have witnessed firsthand the profound impact we have made in building the nation’s strongest housing market. I am immensely proud of our accomplishments, which include emerging strongly from the Great Recession, forming lasting partnerships with Operation Finally Home and Collin College, and launching successful programs, events, and initiatives, including those that kept us working safely during the COVID-19 crisis and rebuilding from the damage our office sustained during the winter storm in 2021.
I’m forever thankful for you entrusting me with the roles and responsibilities of Executive Officer at a young age and during challenging times for the association more than a decade ago.
