It seems like it was just a short while ago that people would recoil upon hearing someone say that they lived in Oak Cliff. But look at us now. North Oak Cliff has become a magnet for homebuyers, with some areas becoming heavily sought-after for the location’s convenience and its litany of amenities.

This listing from Murrell is a great example of urban infill that works. Not only does this home offer everything that single-family homebuyers need, but it also has a lot of great finish-out, including beautiful wall treatments and lovely kitchens and baths. We love the character in the living room’s shiplap wall, and the lighting upgrades add even more design flair.

This particular design from StoryBuilt is the B floor plan from their Kings Highway development. What’s great about this particular layout is that it puts all of the entertaining space on the first floor with a great half bath and tons of storage in the eat-in kitchen while keeping all of the bedrooms upstairs for added privacy. The bonus is that the laundry room is upstairs, eliminating the precarious practice of hauling laundry baskets up and down the stairs.

The home has three bedrooms with two and a half baths as well as a two-car garage and a lovely back patio and easy-to-care-for backyard. It’s not slouching when it comes to space, with 1,798 square feet built with an eye toward energy efficiency.

“This Craftsman-style home was built to match the integrity and character of the surrounding neighborhood, but it offers a practical floor plan and green features that are nearly impossible to find in a restored historic home,” Murrell noted.

One of the upstairs bedrooms is being used as a home office and den and features a cool wall treatment.

We love that this home lives larger than your typical three-story detached or semi-detached townhome, with a servicable backyard and great patio that is great for families who want a little space, but not too much maintenance. Also great for families are the outstanding Dallas ISD schools to which this Kings Highway property feeds into. Young children can attend Rosemont Elementary School, which feeds into Greiner Exploratory Arts Academy and Sunset High School.
