MetroTex Announces Winners of Inaugural 40 Under 40 Awards

The Young Professionals Network of the MetroTex Association of Realtors just announced the winners of its inaugural 40 Under 40 awards. Recipients of the award were chosen from more than 100 applicants from across the state, with selection based on their leadership, community involvement, and 2022 sales data.

“These young leaders stood out through their commitment to their clients and the real estate industry,” says MetroTex President Belinda Epps. “I could not be prouder to congratulate them on their success and professional growth.”

Winners will be recognized at the MetroTex headquarters in Irving on October 12. According to MetroTex YPN Chair Darwin Stephens, the volume of applicants applying for 40 under 40 shows how important the younger generation is to the Realtor Association.

“The Realtor association is a collaborative community and all of the applicants are great examples of the expertise provided to their clients and customers.”

Hard work, tenacity, and leadership — all qualities you can find among the winners of the MetroTex 40 Under 40 award. A prime example is Kyle Lyon of Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty.

“I moved to Dallas 11 years ago with only a car full of clothes, so I am honored to be recognized for the years of hard work and dedication I have put into growing my business,” Lyon told daltxrealestate.com. “Real estate has provided me with wonderful opportunities and created strong relationships with fantastic people for which I am forever grateful.”

Among the winners is Ebby Halliday Realtor Taylor Walcik, immediate past president of MetroTex.

Taylor Walcik

“I have always prided myself on balance between my professional, volunteer, and personal lives and it truly means the world to me to be honored in the inaugural class of MetroTex 40 under 40. As a leader, It is so important to encourage the next generation of leaders to step up and contribute to our profession in meaningful ways and this platform is a great tool for our Association,” Walcik said. “I’d like to thank my business partner and husband, Sid, for his continued support at home and in our business to continually serve our clients. I’ve seen our business grow through the years and can’t help but credit our involvement at the local, state, and national levels in our Realtor Associations.”

For young Realtors, receiving an award like this is the kind of acknowledgment that fosters future growth in the industry. That’s definitely true for Realtor Adam Murphy of Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate.

“Receiving this award is a profound honor, underscoring my unwavering commitment to excellence in the real estate realm for both my clients and community,” Murphy said. “I am eager to embrace further professional growth, foster deeper industry connections, and consistently provide unparalleled service to those I serve.”
