Lake Views and More on Lake Whitney

Own your very own castle on Lake Whitney. (photos: Selling TX Photography)

We warned you last week that Tarrant County Tuesday is a sucker for lake homes. We told you all the benefits — location, proximity, no salty feelings, no sharks, no jellyfish, no six hours driving and listening to Disney movies on a streaming loop — and here we are, the second week in a row touring an amazing lake home.

Go jump in the lake whenever you want from your home in White Bluff.

This week we take a brief one-hour road trip south of Fort Worth to Hill County (Hill County Tuesday doesn’t rhyme well) to find a beautifully constructed stone-and-brick home of nearly 5,000 square feet in the White Bluff subdivision near Lake Whitney.

Just think — you can be one short hour away from Fort Worth and be sitting in your five-bedroom, three-and-one-half-bathroom home with multiple living areas, a home office, a killer game room, and a movie theater that will make your teeth rattle.

Oh and there’s also a lake just steps away to enjoy when the weather is nice.

Open living spaces with great views of trees and the lake

Believe it or not, there are times (like now) when it might not be the best weather to enjoy lake living. What are you supposed to do then? Well, you can always watch the lake from the warmth and comfort of your home. You can enjoy a nice meal or family time around the beautiful kitchen, because, as we have established, the kitchen is where everyone hangs out.

Whether cooking or hanging – this kitchen is the right choice

If you need to do a little office work, fear not, this home has an engaging home office with great windows for all sorts of distracting views.

Home office or command center – you decide

What if you get into the lake and maybe you get muddy or dirty and you need to shower or take a bath to get nice and clean again? Fortunately, this home has just the answer to all your problems in the primary bathroom. Not only will you enjoy the large shower but check out the claw foot soaking tub and large television to boot … watch all Election Night results from your very own bathtub — try and clean off the filth and grime that politicians spew on us (figuratively of course).

For those who like to play games, the multi-purposed game room in this home is just what you’re looking for.

Shoot some pool or belly up to the bar for a refreshing beverage.

Or maybe you just want to watch your favorite movie in the ever-so-impressive movie room. Grab your popcorn and a blanket and cozy up in the large chairs and crank up that volume and make the house shake!

Think it can get loud in here?

It’s nearly Election Night, so you get to choose: Will it be in the chilly waters of Lake Whitney? What about sitting under the stars by the firepit? The kitchen is always open or maybe you want to work on your fantasy football team in your office. Want to shoot some pool or maybe just watch your favorite flick in your media room? Choices, choices, choices … what a home!
