Lake Cliff Tower Condo Offers Sweeping Views of Downtown, Calatrava Bridges

If you’ve driven past this building in North Oak Cliff a hundred times and wondered what it’s like inside, then today’s Thursday Three Hundred will satisfy your curiosity. This is a rare corner unit in Lake Cliff Tower in North Oak Cliff, with sweeping downtown and Calatrava bridges views and lots of updates.

Located at 329 E. Colorado Blvd. Apt 705 on the northeast corner of East
Colorado and Zang boulevards, this condo has two bedrooms (dual master suites), two full bathrooms and a half bathroom, and 2,030 square feet, built in 1929. This is a historic building with so much character—look at that beautiful masonry!

Lake Cliff Tower was totally overhauled in 2005-2006, and is about a mile from Downtown Dallas on the Houston Street viaduct over the Trinity River. This is the gateway to North Oak Cliff. Every unit has a permanently unobstructed views of the lake or downtown, and the building sits one block from the Trinity River Corridor Project, which includes over $1.25 billion in area improvements, like new roads, hike-and-bike trails, wetlands, and lakes and new park and recreation facilities.

This unit was listed April 28 by Ged Dipprey with Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate for $399,900. Monthly HOA dues are $913.

This condo is loaded with updates, like granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, bamboo flooring, tons of built-ins, walk-in closets, a whole-house water purifier, and a fabulously dramatic dining room light fixture.

None of the updates take away from the historic details and architecture in the building—check out that ceiling for one example. The open floorplan adds a sense of flow to the interior, and the natural light makes it seem bigger than its 2,030 square feet. This is a spacious place.

From one side of this corner unit, you’ll see the Calatrava bridges and downtown Dallas; from the other, views of Lake Cliff Park.

This building is 1.4 miles from the Bishop Arts District and a new DART Light Rail Line stop is coming nearby soon. There’s a 24-hour concierge, swimming pool, deck, on-site movie theater, billiards room, and private wine lockers, all included in the monthly HOA dues.

This Lake Cliff Tower corner unit condo is a rare find in a historic, beautiful building with a stellar location. Is it priced right at $399,900, or too ambitiously? We’re not sure—the monthly HOA dues of $913 are pretty steep and that may intimidate buyers (they do not include any utilities). But there’s something undeniably appealing about this condo, and we think it will see a contract soon.
