I Don’t Even Recognize Ridge Road Anymore! But This House Rocks

Remember Ridge Road, east of Midway in between Walnut Hill and Merrell? Twas once a nice enclave of 1950’s era homes with large, leafy lots, big trees, and a country feel thanks to the circular street and huge trees. This little North Dallas nook has been the scene of vigorous scraping and rebuilding, and lot prices up here are jacking up through the roof, if you can find them.

4247-Ridge-Road-foyer 4247-Ridge-Rd-stairs 4247-Ridge-butlers-barWell, Cason Construction did just that. They also found starchitect Richard Drummond Davis to put together a floor plan for a beautiful new home I just cannot call “speculative” because it is stunning and beyond the images that term evokes. At 4247 Ridge Davis and Cason have created a two story transitional with a sleek, clean finish-out that is probably under contract even as we speak. Luscious hardwoods through out, there are pricey but beautiful stones on all counter surfaces, and the best of fixtures! I am particularly enamored with the kitchen because I am very much into double islands these days — in fact, put that on top of my new home wish list. Not only does this beautiful and functional kitchen spill into the family room, there is another kitchen in the outdoor area complete with grill, sink, beverage drawers, an ice maker and fireplace. The master suite is downstairs and loaded, and there is almost a third kitchen upstairs adjacent to the game/media room. You get 6911  square feet total on a quarter acre lot with loads of trees, measuring 130 by 125. All four bedrooms are upstairs with en suite baths. The good folks at Inwood Bank and Mortgage would love to help get you settled in this little nest.

The home is listed with Kay Weeks at Ebby Halliday for $1,695,000. Piece of cake for Inwood.

Like I said, this one will probably be under contract by the time I hit “publish” BUT the same builder has a similar home in Park Cities available that is actually a little less dinero –funny, isn’t it, that this home just west of Bluffview would command more than the one available in Park Cities?

Well, at least until I hit “publish”.4247-Ridge-dining 4247-Ridge-kitchen 4247-Ridge-double-bars 4247-Ridge-kit-2 4247-Ridge-family 4247-Ridge-family-combo2 4247-Ridge-TV3 4247-Ruide-master-bath1 4247-Ridge-ladies-closet1 4247-Ridge-master-bath22 4247-Ridge-closet3 4247-Ridge-ext1 4247-Ridge-exterior1 4247-Ridge-garages1
