If You’re Into Angles, You’ll Be Double Into 7168 Manor Oaks Drive

Oh sweet 1970s. You got it going on. The angles, the expansive low slope on that roof. The classic three floor to ceiling windows on the front of the house. It’s so swinging and so very ready for you to take up residence.

Located in North Dallas, this gracious 1979 estate is big, bold, and it was made to make a statement — that statement is, you magnificent, well-qualified buyer, you are home.

And I hope you brought the caftans because this house NEEDS THEM. And a green velvet couch and dinner parties and, I don’t know, maybe some bawdy tabletalk. Is that still a thing?

Now it doesn’t have a pool, but you can fix that. What it does have is an arbor and a terrace and a tucked away front door.

Follow that up with a complete remodel from roof to slab. An updated kitchen with a wall of cabinets and drawers then more cabinets and don’t look now, but CABINETS. There’s so much storage and a top-of-the-line GE Monogram refrigerator and Bosch cooktop.

In the main living there’s a fireplace that’s a whole statement. It’s a wall of Basalt Lava Stone and it’s a peek-a-boo situation where the other side is the primary bedroom with a repeat on that Lava Stone. AND, the primary, which is downstairs (hoo and ray), has a set of glass-inset doors leading to the patio where you can sip that coffee and the occasional mid-morning mimosa in the great, private outdoors.

All the bathrooms have been updated and sure, the primary is a little heavy handed with the slate, but that’s nothing a set of fluffy, white towels can’t neutralize.

Upstairs you’ll find the remaining three bedrooms for that great separation of them vs. you. Rowdy vs. relaxing. It’s all about those steps.

You know another thing the 1970s loved? A skylight and you bet your bellbottoms there’s one at 7168 Manor Oaks Drive.

If you need a place to post up for your Zoom calls, you can easily convert the second living into a workspace. The hardwoods are all set for your roll-y chair.

If this sounds like a house you could love, check it out. Hometiva’s Brandon Carrington has it listed for $645,000.
