As home buyers, our clients’ main concerns are usually the big five areas of a house: the foundation, the plumbing, the electricity, the HVAC, and the roof. But sometimes it’s the little things that make a house unique. Here are a few “little things.”

What’s Wrong With This Picture?

You guessed it — it’s installed backward!

Just Because You Can Doesn’t Mean You Should

Technically yes, but you need to make sure it’s done properly, and then either install a trap on the laundry drain line or make sure your dishes are scraped clean so that debris doesn’t clog the line.

Getting The Finger

Finger joints are used in house framing to join short pieces of wood to create units of greater length. It’s a strong joint — unless of course, it’s broken. This is a good example of a reason to have a Phase Inspection if you’re building a home from the ground up.
