For everyone in Houston, Galveston is an escape that’s just a 45-minute drive away. For those who live a bit farther, like in Dallas, it’s about four hours if you don’t get caught in the epic snarl that is rush hour in Houston.
What I mean to say is that, if you’re looking for a house on or near the beach and within driving distance, Galveston is a great bet.
This city has been through the wringer, that’s for sure. Hurricanes have wreaked havoc on this Gulf Coast city, but that hasn’t stopped Galveston one bit.
