Golfing Legend Justin Leonard Lists Highland Park Property for $15,995,000

3700-Euclid-exterior-1Oh my, I needed this. Feast your eyes on Justin and Amanda Leonard’s 14,000 square foot show home at 3700 Euclid which just hit the market March 9. Back in 2010, the power couple painstakingly constructed this masterpiece with the starchitect team of Stocker, Hoestery and Montenegro while Rusty Goff did the honors of putting it all together. The home sits on a HUGE Highland Park lot of .875 acres right at the corner of Euclid and Cowper. And it’s upping the ante for Highland Park Real Estate prices.

Euclid has six bedrooms, six full baths and three powders, formals, library, media room, one of the biggest and best utility rooms I have seen, a mud room (bet that is for all of Justin’s golf shoes), a knock-out master with huge spa bath (you could have a party in here) plus some of the biggest and best closets I have seen in a LONG time. And I see them all! Let us not forget the exercise room that is basically Cooper Aerobics in your home. The house is run on geothermal energy for lowest utility bills, and has a four-car garage, which is what the Leonards had in their Volk Estates home on Turtle Creek. You may recall that pup took awhile to sell, given the market and all: 7408 Turtle Creek Lane finally sold for $5,995,000 in September of 2014, after being on the market for about a year and a half, with an original listing price of $6,800,000. Gianna Cerullo over at Dave Perry-Miller pulled the sale off and Alex Trusler at Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s brought the buyer, who must be a judge or elected official because DCAD is withholding the name from the tax rolls. Interesting. 3700-Euclid-master-bath 3700-Euclid-master-closet-1 3700-Euclid-master-closet-2 3700-Euclid-sitting-room 3700-Euclid-girls-room 3700-Euclid-boys-room 3700-Euclid-laundry-room

The clean lines and spaces, rock, stone and stucco combos, all of this is a great example of what buyers are seeking in homes these days. This is Mediterranean pretty. Or shall I say, stunning. Asking price is $1144.13 per square foot — how do you like that, Highland Park?

Justin Leonard won big at the 1997 British Open at Royal Troon, and his last win was in the Stanford St. Jude Championship in 2008. Funny that huge yard does not have a swimming pool, but there sure is a putting green and plenty, plenty of room for golf swings! Listed with Kelly Hosch and Shelley Bailey of DPM’s, and guess what? Kelly is related to the Leonards, which is why she has the listing!3700-Euclid-rear-yardkelly-hosch
