Get Out of Town to The Ultimate Luxury Lake House

Why do you want a luxury lake house? Well, my first answer is, why the heck not? My second is more complicated.

Let’s look back as far as September of 2019. Forbes.com reported 300 people a day were leaving New York City. This was way before the pandemic. So we are not blaming that. It’s not just New York. Forbes went on to report:

This trend is not exclusive to the New York metropolitan area. Many similar regions are seeing their residents migrate to other states. Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and San Francisco, as well as Connecticut’s Hartford Bridgeport, and New Haven, have all experienced a substantial exodus of people

That view is one of the main reasons we love a luxury lake house.

Forbes noted multiple reasons from the cost of living to poor infrastructure and better schools. Dallas has been the beneficiary of a lot of this exodus action from other states. We’re a mecca for corporate relocations. When people move here from another major metropolitan area they are often stunned at how far their money will go, even in a luxury market. So, they do precisely what locals have done for generations. They put their money into a second home you can reach in under an hour.

The luxury lake house is as much a part of the Dallas lifestyle as the family ranch. It’s common sense. If you have kids, extended family, and enjoy entertaining, a lake house is the logical extension of any real estate portfolio. It’s a great asset and a whole lot of fun.

In our present world situation, a lake house is also something else. It’s safe.
