Fifty And Living Fab In This Fairview Home

I am legit fascinated by Fairview. It’s a very well-to-do little pocket over by Allen and McKinney, and it likes to split its schools. Some homes feed into McKinney ISD and some homes feed into, are you holding your breath? Beloved Lovejoy ISD. Boy oh boy, people are really obsessed with that one.

Anyway, Fairview is also right next to the Heard Natural Science Museum, which is way misleading. It’s tons o’ walking and hiking and nature trails including a footbridge that cuts right through the water. Well, over it. Cattails and lily pads and turtles tread water below. It really is something.

Anywho, this house is located in Fairview and it’s a stunner. Stately with a big ol’ covered patio that you can live on when weather permits. (Unlike the sog fest we’ve had lately.)

RE/MAX Town & Country’s Kevin Kernan calls out the outdoor living specifically. He calls it SPECTACULAR and I’m not adding the all caps. He did that. He goes on, in all caps, though I’ll keep it low cap and cool from here on out, to mention the “gabled wood beam covered patio at 850+ square feet, elevated golf course fenced lot, panoramic views…”

Kernan is a detailer and I respect that implicitly. He crammed a lot into the description of the interior of the home, too. Let’s just cut to the chase, it has it all. Plantation shutters, granite counters, diagonal 18-inch tile, 10-foot ceilings, and upgrade after upgrade.

The only snag at 916 Quarry Oaks Drive is that one full-time resident must be 50 years or older. Huh. A retirement community. Doesn’t that sound like a lovely place to retire though? PANORAMIC VIEWS on a treelined property.

Apparently we’re not the only ones. The offer deadline is Sunday, May 30 at 6 p.m. There’s still time, but not a ton. Check this one out.

And if you’re not full-on 50+, what about a Bosom Buddies scenario? Like Bosom Buddies meets Mrs. Doubtfire. Age up. For a gracious home with an elegant master suite and comfort-height commodes, it might just be worth it.

Kevin Kernan has 916 Quarry Oaks listed at $630,000.
