When you are looking for a Realtor, you should seek out someone who is more than a face on a bus bench. And truthfully, referrals don’t always tell the whole story. What you really want is someone who will negotiate for you, outsmart the competition, and seek out the best opportunities.

That’s Svetlana Grujic‘s M.O., and she’s got the attitude to go with it. She’s not really cocky — she’s just that good! It’s a stellar combination that we just had to share with our readers.

Naturally, all that attitude reminds us of Jeff Lindigrin at Great Western Home Loans. What has your lender done for you lately? Find out what you’re missing by calling Jeff Lindigrin at Great Western Home Loans today.

daltxrealestate.com: So, where are you from?

Svetlana Grujic: I’m originally from a big city in a small European country, Belgrade, Serbia. I moved to the US in 2004 to study at SMU. Nikola Tesla, Novak Djokovic, and Vlade Divac are few exceptional Serbians you may have heard of.

CD: So, how did you get into real estate? What’s your specialty?

SG: After receiving my Masters in International Law, I decided I need to explore opportunities that allowed for me to leverage my creative personality. Being an outgoing, communicative, “people” person, sitting in an office from 8-5 was never a fulfilling experience. My passion for style, art, and architecture made real estate sales the perfect match for me. My specialty is identifying my clients wants and needs and exceeding standards.

CD: How do you stay sharp in a challenging market?

SG: I’m gonna be blunt about it – I was born sharp. Market doesn’t challenge me, I challenge the market.

CD: We love it! Where is home for you in Dallas?

SG: Preston Hollow, where you can find the most beautiful Real Estate.

CD: And you drive a … let me guess, Range Rover?

SG: Keep guessing 🙂 It’s cute and red, and super fierce, suitable for a city girl – Nissan Juke

CD: What’s your favorite ‘hood in Dallas and why?

SG: That has to be Bishop Arts District, which is home to over 60 boutiques, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and art galleries, making it one of Dallas’ most unique neighborhoods.

CD: What was your best/highest sale?

SG: All my sales are like my children, I love them equally and they are all the best.

CD: Likewise, what was your most challenging or memorable transaction?

SG: Coordinating purchase of a home for a client from overseas.

CD: Tell us: What was the most interesting thing to happen to you while working with a client?

SG: After six days of intense bidding war, having a winning offer for my client.

CD: How quickly have you ever turned a house?

SG:It took me 2 days to find a buyer for my listing that was sold as a HipPocket, off market.

CD: How much did you sell last year?

SG: More than I planned!

CD: What words of wisdom do you often share with clients?

SG: Patience is a virtue, but never miss a chance to jump on an opportunity.

CD: If you ever change careers for an encore you’ll…

SG: This is my encore. The only change I will make will be to expand to international real estate.

CD: Do you have a second home? If so, where?

SG: Paris. Forever Paris.
