Do you remember watching Return of The Jedi for the first time? What about Robinhood: Prince of Theives with Kevin Costner? Both of those movies were seen multiple times by an up-and-coming Bow Tie Realtor back in the day. I loved seeing where the Ewoks lived on the forest moon of Endor and where all the villagers lived in Sherwood Forest.
Maybe it was because I never had a treehouse growing up, but I always wanted to live high among the trees of Endor or Sherwood Forest … although I’m not sure I would want to swing from one tree hut to the next.
While the home featured in Tarrant County Tuesday isn’t a treehouse populated by peasant villagers or furry bipeds, it reminded me of both of those movies. A home surrounded by tall trees gives the perspective of living in the canopy.
Country Club Living at Mira Vista
There are five country clubs in Fort Worth: Colonial, Rivercrest, Ridglea, Shady Oaks, and Mira Vista. Each has a beautiful golf course, a large clubhouse, and plenty of options for living, entertainment, and spending money.
However, did you know that Mira Vista Country Club is the only club of the five where the residences are located within a 24-hour guarded and gated point of entry? Now you know.
Once inside the gate, Mira Vista is a series of steep and rolling hills — something you definitely don’t see much of in Fort Worth. Because of the topography, many homes are built on the side of a hill or with a slope that allows for basements, underground cellars, and tucked-away spaces.
Bright And Beautiful
Built by the 16th hole of Mira Vista Golf Course, this 5,526-square-foot home features five bedrooms, four-and-one-half bathrooms, and a handful of purposeful spaces with amazing views among the trees from the numerous large windows.
When I toured this home, a few other agents commented how light and bright the living area and kitchen were. I tried to count all the windows in this spacious abode but there were so many that I quickly lost count and gave up.
The main floor of 6604 Pine Valley Place is reached by walking upstairs from the circle driveway or garage. All the views from the main living level are elevated and unique. The perspective is not of other homes in the way but of trees and sky and golf course … not too shabby.
The home is very open and bright, but not like many open-concept homes where it feels as if the living/dining/kitchen are all one room. This plan has different angles and isn’t one giant open rectangle. Therefore, one can be in the kitchen while others are in the living or craft room next to the kitchen and still have a feeling of connectivity.
The primary suite is huge in this home. Once again, because it sits elevated from the ground, it has that feel of being in the trees and allows for views of the pool and golf course beyond.
Downstairs is a kid’s paradise.
In the lower floor, you’ll find a large open play area with a fun space under the stairs that any kid would love, along with bedrooms, bathrooms, study nooks, and even a sauna. The room that accesses the dry sauna would be a perfect little workout area.
Of course, the backyard of 6604 Pine Valley Place comes complete with a sun deck, large covered patio, shaded play or relaxation area with artificial turf, and a swimming pool.
And if you want to watch some golf — or laugh at them while you’re chilling in your pool and they’re chasing a ball around with a metal stick in 100-plus-degree weather — this is the home to make that happen.
Joseph Berkes with Williams Trew Real Estate has listed 6604 Pine Valley Place in the Mira Vista Country Club neighborhood for $1.9 million.
