There’s nothing we love more than a great deal, unless of course we can grab a bargain and help a wonderful cause at the same time. Both will be possible when Dwell With Dignity hosts their annual Thrift Studio at the Dallas Design District April 8 through May 7.
We fell in love with this organization when they decorated a new home for a Shared Housing family in December. No detail was missed, including stocking the pantry, Christmas trees for the kids, and this Lifestylist’s favorite — they got the family a double stroller after researching to make sure that it fit on public transportation. What a difference they made in this young family’s life, and shopping at the Thrift Studio will make it possible for them to help other families like this one. Their goal is to do over 18 homes a year, and considering how much “sweat equity” they invest in each home, that takes a lot of volunteers and generous sponsors.
The Thrift Studio features vignettes curated by some of Dallas’ top designers, including Shay Geyer from IBB Design Fine Furnishings. Everything in the vignette is from the Dwell With Dignity warehouse or is donated by the designers or their resources, and it is all for sale starting at the preview party today. This is the perfect opportunity to get a professionally designed room for pennies. It’s worth going to the preview party and grabbing an entire vignette!
Thrift Studio will be open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. April 8 through May 7 at 1444 Oak Lawn Avenue, Suite 545.
