Don’t be late to the annual event sponsored by the Women’s Council of Realtors, Dallas Network. The Mad Hatter’s Tea and Fashion Show is Friday, Oct. 18, and our own Candy Evans will co-emcee the annual fundraiser for Carry the Load. This event is a fantastic way to network and get to know the best women and men in the business.

“I am so honored, and also a little bit nervous, to emcee this event along with the beautiful Bette LeMay!” gushed Evans. “It’s truly one of the best Realtor events in North Texas. So many great Dallas Real estate icons have been past presidents of WCR —leaders such as Ebby Halliday, Virginia Cook, Lila Richards, and Allie Beth Allman.”

The event, which has a fashion show featuring real estate professionals, is always a hit.

“In the past, I have been a model, and it was so much fun,” Evans said. “I don’t know what they did to me last year, but my husband wouldn’t let me take off any of the makeup!”

And despite its name, the Women’s Council of Realtors isn’t just for the ladies.

“WCR is such an amazing organization empowering women (and men, too) through education and networking,” said Halo Realty’s Kevin Caskey. “I’m thrilled to support them by modeling in the show every year as a strategic partner.”

Truly, this is a not-to-be missed event, not just for the hats and the fashion show, but for the social aspect, too. And Evans promises that there will be plenty of excitement.

“You know how I will just say anything, and the great folks at Caliber Home Loans are sponsoring a champagne toast so who knows what’s going to come out of my mouth?” Evans mused. “So, Candy unfiltered!”
