Coldwell-Banker

Darla Gray knew that it was time for something new. After considering the possibility for nearly a decade, she finally took the plunge and joined Coldwell Banker as an agent.

“I’ve done a little of everything and was ready for a change,” Gray said. “It’s been all that I wanted it to be.”

Prior to going into real estate, Gray worked for more than 38 years at TXU. During that time she held several management and customer service positions. In the end, she felt shat had accomplished everything that she wanted to do within the company and was ready to apply her skills elsewhere.

“One of the things that’s going to help me be successful is that I have customer service experience,” Gray said. “I’m really excited to use it to cater to my clients’ needs.”

Before changing careers, she spent six months interviewing brokerages. Each time she met with Coldwell Banker, she came away impressed with the time and money they were investing in their agents. Of particular interest to her was the company’s Core 4 Values program that she believes gives agents the ability to live exceptional lives.

“That really spoke to me. I know it sounds kind of cheesy, but I’ve always wanted to live by the rules of treating people the way I want to be treated,” Gray said. “I’m very impressed that they are also taking the time to invest in me as an agent.”

During her previous career, Gray devoted a significant amount of time to strategy and innovation, which she thinks will sever her well in a new role. In her estimation, Coldwell Banker is a leader in innovation, and recognizes that the one constant is always change.

“I understand the importance of continually staying on top and in the forefront of competitors and differentiating ourselves from them,” she said. “I’ve seen the good and the bad.

Gray considers herself a “proud Texan,” and has spent the majority of her life in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. She believes that her vast knowledge of the area combined previous personal and business real estate experience will serve her well. She also believes that the tools and technologies she now has from Coldwell Banker will help her network and increase her sphere of influence.

“I’m excited to be a part of the company that is helping me do that.”
