Dear readers, we know you’ve snapped a pic at Dealey Plaza near that infamous X. You’ve taken a selfie near the 30-foot “Eye at The Joule,” and you’ve definitely gone live from the Cotton Bowl.

Your hashtags have been collected and analyzed, and they’ve made Dallas one of the most Instagrammable metros in the Lone Star State, ahead of Austin and San Antonio.

The prestigious designation comes from TexasRealEstate.com, and has been shared by Downtown Dallas Inc. and others in celebration of just one more thing Dallas does better than everybody else: doing it for the ‘Gram.

“Dallas yielded more than 27 million posts with hashtags related to the area,” Downtown Dallas Inc. CEO Jennifer Scripps announced earlier this month. “As the fourth-largest metropolitan complex in the U.S., D-FW is home to Dealey Plaza, a bustling arts district, and a picturesque skyline — all in downtown Dallas!”

She-who-must-not be named (it’s Houston, hi …) had 36 million posts with local hashtags, but their baseball team also won the World Series this year, so we’re gonna let them have it.

We perused the hashtags #Dallas and #MyDTD and found a lot of Cowboys memes, a few recently-sold homes, and a lot of holiday parties.

Mayor Eric Johnson likes the hashtag #BigDallasEnergy, and Councilman Adam McGough signs his posts #ALLinD10. The Dallas City Council even got in on the social media fun, posting a photo from last week’s council meeting wishing a happy “Ugly Christmas and Holiday Sweater Day to all who observe.”
