We were both almost in tears as Sandi Greenberg, RN, and I got together to discuss what she had just done that morning: vaccinate the residents of Manchester Care Homes for COVID-19.
We had come full circle since Sandi and I first met when she was just coming on board as Manchester Care Homes and Cambridge Caregivers‘ Director of Nursing. Little did she know that her professional skills would be put to the ultimate test, something no professor could have prepared her for: a global pandemic.
Yet Sandi took charge and kept every single patient safely COVID-free. And now, she has secured COVID-19 vaccines and protected her 32 residents. A joyful day indeed:
