Arlington Heights is not in Arlington.  Nope. Contrary to what you might think, it’s an older neighborhood right in the middle of the Fort Worth Westside.

Situated North of I-30 and South of the famous Camp Bowie Boulevard, Arlington Heights is heavily populated by smaller cottages of charm and character built from the 1920s to the 50s.  That is, until now …

New Construction in Older Neighborhood

The traditional at 3923 Lafayette Avenue is a single-story home of 1,791 square feet featuring three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a study, an open living/eating/kitchen and was built in 2012.

In the housing downturn of 2010, HD Homes (merged with Village Homes in 2014) of Fort Worth took advantage of depressed land prices in the heavily desired and older areas of Fort Worth.  They targeted areas such as Crestwood, Lower Monticello, and Arlington Heights to build smaller, more affordable homes that would fit into the neighborhoods well.

The response to the new concept was tremendous as many young professionals and empty nesters were able to purchase single-story homes that fit their needs and their budgets.  Larger homes and townhomes were also part of their repertoire.

Today, 3923 Lafayette Avenue is for sale at $410,000.  At time of press there were only three homes in the entire area available for sale that were built after 2000.
