Dallas-based artist Ann Jackson is known for her abstract paintings and contemporary cactus landscapes, created on Belgian linen using linear color washes. Her work is colorful, modern, and vibrant.

Jackson has taken eight of her original oil paintings and started a premium line of wallpaper, printed on continuous rolls using earth-friendly, water-based inks. It is FSC-certified, ensuring responsible use of forest resources.

“The reaction between these materials is a large part of the process,” Jackson said. “My wallpaper is like art for the walls—brush strokes, drips and washes of oil paint, and the texture of Belgian linen from the original wallpaper can all be seen in the digitally printed wallpaper. Being able to see my work in a larger scale format is incredibly exciting.”

Ann Jackson wallpapers are available to the trade at Laura Lee Clark Interior Design, Inc. in Dallas; Supply Showroom in Austin; Fritz Porter Design Collective in Charleston, South Carolina; and online at annjacksonart.com.

“In this age of mass production, discerning consumers crave unique, handmade items for their homes,” she said. “Each design in my wallpaper collection draws directly from one of my original, hand-painted works of art that is then digitally printed in the USA to produce art for the walls.”

Although Jackson’s style is contemporary, she says the wallpaper works in all home styles.

“The emerald squash blossom will soon be installed in the powder bath of an English Tudor, and Peony Pink was installed as an accent wall for a girl’s bedroom in 1940’s renovation,” she said.

This wallpaper line is sold by the yard, with a 5-yard minimum, on a continuous roll. A customer only purchases the number of yards needed for the project versus purchasing paper by the roll. It is Class-A fire rating based on the ASTM-E84 standards.
