3135 Brincrest Drive as it looks today.

Get a load of this one, you little fiddlefarts. It’s a real deal remodel in Farmers Branch. You know that little corner of Farmers Branch that’s right by Dallas. Like three blocks from the city line. I don’t know why I feel like calling that out, but I do. Hey, we’re not all Rand McNally, you know?

Anyway, this little stunner was great five years ago when the current owners bought it. It was perfectly lovely and had the fabulous layout and atrium pictured here. But what it didn’t have was the current owners’ impeccable remodeling eye … and penchant for plussing it the heck up.

Wood-colored wood is not nearly as good.

Scottwood Realty’s Danny Scott said they took the entire home to the next level. They completely gutted and remodeled the kitchen and both bathrooms. The tile and materials they selected are super current but look at home in this 1966 construction.

The owners also painted the exterior paneling a dramatic gray and mimicked it inside on the “eyebrow” that runs along the perimeter of the step-down living room with the killer stone fireplace. They painted all the walls a stark white and again, KILLER. The light fixtures, ceiling fans, and wood-look floor tile are all exceptional.

The back half of the house is an atrium with a flood of natural light. The windows look out to the upgrade of upgrades – a sleek, modern pool with a collection of overlapping wood decking.

Here’s one little secret that Scott shared with us. Out back there’s a greenbelt that is technically a park maintained by the city. Yet, it’s really only a field of green. It’s not easily accessible to the public and there isn’t even parking. So, Scott pointed out, you basically get your very own private greenbelt with no neighbors and it’s all maintained for you.

It won’t surprise you to know that one of the owners, Craig Grimston, is an artist. He also owns a company called Muralicious and hand paints murals in residential and commercial spaces. It’s all clicking now, right? Of course, this remodel was completed with an artist’s eye.

Scottwood Realty’s Danny Scott has 3135 Brincrest Drive listed for $674,900. It’s currently available, but something tells me that won’t last long …
