When current owners Vince and Jessica Stanko first purchased this condo, it was for the location. Duh. Obviously, it’s the best. It’s walking distance from the Katy Trail and all the shops and restaurants Knox-Henderson has to offer.

Jessica said they walk the Katy Trail at least once a day, if not twice, and as for their favorite Knox Spots (That’s a Knox and hot spot hybrid that we just made up), they love the classics – Wild About Harry’s and Café Madrid, which Jessica said has done an EXCELLENT job of setting up social-distancing shop in the parking lot.

As for the new stuff, they’re fans of Up on Knox and hello, they can literally skip to Trader Joe’s presumably for the Everything But The Bagel Seasoning because if you don’t have a pantry full, are you even quarantining?

They moved in three years ago and updated the heck out of this space. Jessica wanted something fresh and clean that that felt stylish, yet homey and gurrrrrrl, she nailed it.

It’s updated, but not cookie cutter and a lot of that has to do with the matte black hardware in the bathroom and that killer dark tile backsplash in the kitchen. Jessica said she wanted it to match the accent wall in the breakfast nook and even though she was nervous it might make the space feel too dark, she went for it.

It totally works and also helps set that nook apart.

Other updates include new appliances and two top-to-bottom remodeled bathrooms complete with new toilets and the aforementioned matte black hardware.

They used hexagonal tile in the frameless shower and then just for a pop of “remember me?,” they added it to the shampoo shelf at the back of the bathtub IN THE OTHER BATHROOM. These two are cohesion superstars.

Let’s talk about those refinished hardwoods. Jessica said when they first moved in, they were a light blonde, but the darker stain really sets this condo apart and adds to that homey fill Jessica was after in the first place.

Jessica also pointed out that this condo is really ideal for roommates. The bigger bedroom with the exposed brick wall has the smaller bathroom and the bigger bathroom has the slightly smaller bedroom. It’s the perfect trade off.

There are several other units for sale in this complex, but you can’t touch this one in price and updates. If you’d like to check out the two-bedroom, two-bathroom, 987-square-foot super cute space, reach out to listing agent Kathy Morrison with Coldwell Banker Apex. She has 4231 Travis Street No. 5 for $275,000.
