Sam-Saladino-High-Caliber-Agent

Real estate is a tough, competitive business, and having the right experience and the right team can make all the difference in a transaction, whether it’s a challenging one or not. That’s why David Griffin & Company Realtor Sam Saladino works hard to cultivate relationships that will benefit his clients and the community.

It’s something he learned very quickly in his time at Neiman Marcus, and it’s a talent that makes his clients feel at ease. No wonder that Saladino is this week’s High-Caliber Agent sponsored by Lisa Peters at Caliber Home Loans! Once you’ve found the right agent and perfect home, make sure you have a lending partner that is up to the task. Call Lisa Peters at Caliber Home Loans today to make sure you have the very best lender for your homebuying journey.

Real estate is a very competitive business. To what or whom do you owe your success?

Sam Saladino: I’m extremely grateful for my network and sphere — 20-plus years in Dallas, my career at Neiman Marcus, continually honing my customer service and follow-through skills. Being mentored, pushed, and sometimes scared (in a good way mostly) by some of the best agents in Dallas. Listening and being quiet (still a daily struggle), LOL!

Outside of day-to-day business, what are you passionate about?

Saladino: Art. Young artists. Planning the Fall Preservation Dallas Home Tour. Supporting one of Dallas’ most glorious and rewarding events — the TITAS Command Performance Gala. Architecture and design in old films. Cool houses. “NICE” interior designers and architects. Instagram. The ’70s. Disco. Frank Stella at Fort Worth MOMA. Our new digs in Detroit. The orange/ginger muffin at Empire Baking!

What (or who) is your inspiration?

Saladino: I’m a Taurus. I love creature comfort. Living simply but beautifully. Cooking for people who love to indulge. Ken Downing. My clients.

Why is finding the right lender crucial to your success?

Saladino: I’ve worked with so many first-time homebuyers. There is so much they don’t know, no matter how educated they are. Even with all the information at their fingertips via the internet, their friends and family, etc. We are on a journey together. The lender is the compass. The Realtor is steering the ship. You have to swab the decks sometimes, too!

I have worked with some great lenders. Lisa Peters and her team at Caliber Home Loans consistently provide excellent service and proven results. Her knowledge and input are crucial. She never says “no” or “I can’t.” She is an industry leader because she treats everyone with intelligence, respect, and kindness. Like her business acumen, she’s keen to style and trend, but is always au courant. I’m grateful for her friendship and council.
