There’s still time to put in an offer on this North Dallas stunner. (Briggs Freeman)

Cool houses don’t last long in this crazy market. And quintessentially cool houses? You’re lucky to have even a few days to toss your hat in the ring.

The good news is there’s still time to snag this contemporary Preston Hollow gem. But not much. After two open houses this weekend (Saturday, 1 to 3 p.m.; Sunday, 1 to 4 p.m.), interested buyers have just hours to ready their bids.

“The best and final offer will be selected Sunday night at 8 o’clock,” says Briggs Freeman listing agent Lucy Johnson. The asking price is $1.4 million.

It’s the second time the Global Real Estate Advisor has been involved in the buying and selling of the house. Four years ago, Johnson sold it to the current owner fully furnished.

“My client wanted everything, every stick of furniture — even the orange bowl on the coffee table,” says Johnson. “She just wanted to bring her clothes.”

It’s easy to see why. The 3,601-square-foot house is the epitome of indoor-outdoor living. Soaring ceilings and walls of glass create a spacious, airy feel. Abundant natural light adds to the allure.

“It’s like a party waiting to start,” says Johnson. (We hope we’re on the guest list.)

An open, inviting living room sports a stylish fireplace and striking orange-hued wet bar. Glass doors open up to an oversized screen porch. On the other side of the entryway, the dining room sports two large window walls (not to mention, swoon-worthy lighting fixtures).

White cabinetry in the kitchen pairs perfectly with the contrasting tiled backsplash. Just off the eating area, there’s a cozy family room and enclosed intimate garden.

The home’s primary suite features a second fireplace, roomy sitting area, and spa-like bath. Oversized windows overlook a lushly-landscaped pool area.

And did we mention the home’s statement-making lime green laundry room and adjoining bath?

A major overhaul of the front yard included what Johnson calls a “forest floor — nothing but green and interest.” The seller also tapped artist Nic Noblique to create the majestic front yard sculpture.

Once again, many of the home’s furnishings will be for sale. And if the next owner doesn’t buy them, there’s going to be a killer estate sale. (Put us on the list.)

Johnson also gave us the lowdown on the decision to go the offer review route.

Turns out, it has to do with the house’s bones — albeit not in the traditional sense. The owner’s dog, Mitzi, a loveable little chi-poo, is recovering from major surgery.

“Instead of showings, we went with four open houses to accommodate that sweet dog,” says Johnson.

This super cool listing from Lucy Johnson at 11215 Saint Judes Drive is just two blocks from the Northhaven Trail. Offer deadline is April 24th at 8 p.m.
