Remember that wild McKinney pool party last month that ended up with a member of the McKinney police force (Eric Casebolt) resigning after being kind of a jerk, a bunch of fighting, angry parents, accusations of racism and kids climbing over the fence to get into a private pool? One woman even hired Gloria Allred as her attorney after Wells Fargo allegedly asked her to step down from her job.
It was just a big fat McKinney mess. Which was very sad for a great community that has been named as one of the best places to live in the country. We worried that this would harm McKinney’s sizzling real estate market, or the fantastic community of Craig Ranch.
Things have settled down considerably. We told you where Tatania Rhodes lived on Lonesome Spur Trail with her mother and sister in a $237,000 home leased for $1620 a month. Now La Shauna Burks, Tatania’s mother, may be evicted from that home for failure to pay rent.
According to court records, the owner of the house is a Mary Huang who has filed for eviction stating La Shauna Burks was delinquent on her July rent. Hopefully, she can pay the back rent and any fees that her lease may stipulate
Burks said Tuesday she hopes to pay her back rent and solve the issue by the end of the month.
The eviction lawsuit was filed this week Monday. Burks has been asked to vacate by July 8, according to court records.
