Tiffany McKinzie And HALL Arts Residences: A Match Made in High-Rise Heaven?

Tiffany McKinzie used artful neutrals and custom lighting to achieve an ultra-luxe look in this brand-new model at HALL Arts Residences.

I first met Tiffany McKinzie back when I was more blonde than white-haired, and had way more collagen. I was impressed: she was young, beautiful, and exquisitely talented as an emerging interior designer. She had a great eye, a unique style, and she worked her slender fingers to the bone with project after project. So I was over the moon when I saw her signature on yet another beautiful residence at HALL Arts Residences. I walked in and immediately felt beautiful, and AT HOME.

HALL Arts Residences, the newest luxury high-rise in town, has been unveiling striking model homes by noted designers since its opening last summer — and its newest feat in high-rise living is a work of art.

The building’s latest model, brought to life by Dallas-based designer Tiffany McKinzie, transports you with its beautiful neutral color palette, rich textures, and unique lighting and art collection.

Let’s start with the basics.

The 3,677-square-foot, three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath home is located at the northwest corner of the building and features a spacious primary bedroom that directly overlooks the Winspear Opera House, as well as an incredible primary bathroom and closet.

As is (fabulously) customary in all of the finished homes at HALL Arts Residences, 1402 also includes a Bulthaup kitchen system, an expansive kitchen island with custom quartz waterfall countertops, Gaggenau appliances, Dornbracht polished chrome fittings everywhere, Lutron motorized shades throughout and so much more.

These built-in features are expertly complemented by Tiffany McKinzie. Well-known for her award-winning designs in the Dallas/Fort Worth area — with more than 200 high-end residential new-construction and renovation projects under her belt — McKinzie has a keen eye for design and it shows in this stunning model home.

The 14th-floor haven features moments of satin, silk, wool and extravagance, all curated within that neutral palette, perfectly balancing sophisticated elegance and understated luxury.

The contemporary art displayed throughout the home is by local artist Jo Temming and includes single- and multi-panel works in rich black hues and unique textures, adding punctuation and depth to the home’s quiet colors.

And, let’s talk about the unbelievable custom glass installations by Carlyn Ray Designs, beginning with an undulating mass of backlit glass rods on the wall in the home’s foyer.

I was tempted to take the gorgeous pendants above the kitchen island — each one looks like a shimmery glass mushroom top, or a see-through sea creature — home with me! Suffice to say, the combination of art and design here is something to write home about.

And did we mention the grand Ornare custom closet, coming soon to the primary suite?

Brazil-based Ornare has 30-plus years of know-how in designing luxury built-in furnishings — and, based on the sleek kitchens, baths, and closets we’ve drooled over in Ornare’s Dallas showroom, this is going to be good. Accessed through that spa-inspired master bath, the closet may be the room you hang out in the most!

Step outside of home 1402 and you will be quickly reminded that the entire 28-story tower is designed down to the last detail, from the natural materials and neutral palettes chosen by Emily Summers Design Associates to the renewable building materials used to promote health and wellness, earning the property its International WELL Building Institute certification, a system for designating buildings which positively impact the health and well-being of their users. (And, that has recently been endorsed by A-list celebs Lady Gaga, Robert DeNiro, Jennifer Lopez, Michael B. Jordan and others. That is heady, healthy stuff.)

Exclusively representing the entire one-of-a-kind high-rise, Cindi Caudle and Kyle Richards with Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty are offering private in-person and virtual tours of the tower, including this special model home, available sans furnishings for $4.3 million. You can also visit hallartsresidences.com and briggsfreeman.com to see this exceptional property for yourself.

And while you are in there, drink a toast to Tiffany!
