This Sunny Ash Creek Midcentury Modern Has a Park-Like Backyard

I’ve been by this Ash Creek Midcentury Modern more times than I can count. It’s a lovely home with beautiful lines and tons of windows. And the lot, an almost-unheard-of .46 acres, is massive and partially shaded by the canopy provided by the many tall trees. And then there’s Ash Creek, which runs just past the fenceline.

If that hasn’t sold you already, you should know that this Ash Creek Midcentury Modern also comes with the backyard playscape. I call that a pot-sweetener, for sure.

However, the whole home is just warm and friendly, like a hug from a dear friend. I credit that to the restraint that this home has been shown over the years and many updates. While there are some distinct opportunities for personalization in this Ash Creek Midcentury Modern, the room configuration (skews original) and the hall bath (totally original tile) are blissfully left alone.

The 2,180-square-foot, three-bedroom, two-bath Ash Creek Midcentury Modern did receive a little attention before it was listed, says agent John Pollack of RE/MAX Pinnacle Group Realtors. Fresh interior and exterior paint have been applied, and the tar-and-gravel roof was recently redone.

Pollock notes that the home has two living spaces and a bonus room that is currently being employed as both a home office and a playroom. If there are any two spaces that are like oil and water, it has to be an office-playroom combination.

However, this large space presents an opportunity for the buyer. You could make this another master suite for inter-generational living, or for those with older children, this space could easily become a den or rec room.

Are you in love? Pollack is hosting an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. on March 5 if you need to see it just to be sure.

John Pollack with RE/MAX Pinnacle Group Realtors has listed 9907 Estacado Drive for $519,000.
