Fort Worth serving up looks. There are so many gems just over yonder. I think that’s how we think they all talk in Fort Worth. But doubtsies they really do. Anyway, this home is just amazing. Original and maybe one of the best I’ve ever seen as far as care and condition.

The commercial look of the paneled ceilings, the stacked brick fireplace with a built-in for all your firewood bundles, wood-paneled walls, and this grand enclosed patio where you just know drinks were served in a Tiki glass while lingering over a game of ping pong. This one is MCM to the extreme.

The efficiency of the kitchen. The no-fuss, clean lines, all business cabinets, and Formica countertops, it’s a freaking gem. They obviously replaced the floor and you know there was some atomic-era linoleum under there. … Now a quick Google check to make sure linoleum was in the atomic era so I don’t accidentally step in someone’s rage cage and hear about it in the comments below. Turns out it was invented in 1860 by Frederick Walton so we’re good.

A dual-sink vanity in the Jack and Jill though you know this was specifically reserved for John and Sally. I mean, a Sally had to live here. The vertical blinds, sliding glass doors, and the quintessential horizontal highrise window. It’s the best of the best.

League Real Estate’s Katy Neely Page said it was a model home so you know they pulled out all their architectural stops. The only part of the description that hurts my purist little heart is the dreaded, “Perfect lot to build your dream home.” Ugh. Daggers. We know it happens but here’s hoping this goes to someone that loves this gem as much as the previous owner.

With over 4,000 square feet, this beauty on Klamath Road in Fort Worth is listed at $699,900. Oh dang, it was also built in 1964 so not true-true-true mid-century, but there are quite a few nods so let’s just roll with it. Make that your gift to me this holiday season.
