Brace yourself. The Scott+Cooner Winter Warehouse sale is upon us. If you love European furnishings from names like Breuer, Eames, Stark, and Thonet, this is the sale you can’t miss.
Scott+Cooner is the mecca of modern design. Josy Cooner Collins and Lloyd Scott founded the company 21 years ago. They are responsible for upping the design game in Texas, offering a quality and variety of contemporary designers that is among the best in the world. They are the exclusive Texas dealers for lines like Walter K, Cassina, Paola Lenti, Riva 1920, Ingo maurer, and Coliform Kitchens & Closets.
Thursday the doors of the warehouse at 2150 Irving Boulevard open to the “trade” — that means designers and industry professionals — from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, the sale is open to the public during the same hours.
“We have containers of new Flexform, Poltrona Frau, and Giorgetti arriving this month, and 21,000 square feet of showroom still isn’t enough space, so we need to move inventory quickly,” said CMO Lisa Oldham “Admittedly, seeing some of these beautiful pieces leave is tough, but building a second story on the showroom is not an option!”
And for chair collectors, or stagers, several odd lots of sample chairs for $100 to $200 is a great reason to stop by.
These sales only happen twice a year. Parking is limited and all sales are final. We suggest you get there early!
