Address: 2240 Cottonwood Court, Midlothian

4 bedrooms, 3 baths
2,865 square feet
$439,900

Funny enough, the black-and-white porcelain tile is the least impressive part of this 1997-built remodeled home. That’s because each room is more outstanding than the next: the floor-to-ceiling wall of shelves in a fun grass green color makes me a little green with envy, the deep teal wine tasting room, the coffered wall in the master, and the elegant master bath. I literally love everything in that bathroom.

Address: 2325 Kidwell Circle, Plano

4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths
2,647 square feet
$415,000

The tile, the shiplap, the mirrors, the faucets, the overhead fixture — it all works so well together in the updated master bath of this 1975-built Plano home. The sellers continued the popular tile pattern in the laundry room and one of the downstairs hallways, which you can just barely see in the background of the kitchen pictured a few photos below. It seems buyers loved the look too, but after just 11 days on market, it went under contingent contract.

Address: 3130 Brookhaven Club Drive, Farmers Branch

3 bedrooms, 2 baths
1,697 square feet
$389,900

This 1966 Farmers Branch home has plenty of decor nods to its midcentury roots, what with the stone exterior, orange door, and MCM furniture but the statement tile in the kitchen is a great blend of old and new. The tile’s not original to the home, of course, but it fits the funky aesthetic so well you’d think it was. Plus it’s a fun way to give a classic white kitchen some personality.
