Everyone knows by now that North Texas is the place to live. In the past three years, almost half a million people have moved here, according to the North Central Texas Council of Governments, and a lot of them are choosing Flower Mound. What’s the attraction? Well there are plenty!
First, there is the natural beauty of the area. Early settlers named Flower Mound for the unusual number and variety of wildflowers growing in a 12.576-acre native Tall Grass Prairie part of the Great American Black Land Prairie. It became a State of Texas Historic site in 1984. There are also nearly 1,000 acres of parkland and more than 75 miles of hike, bike, and equestrian trails.

Second, Flower Mound was named by Money as the 4th Best Place to Live in America. Moneygeek named it the Safest Small City in Texas and placed it in the top 50 Safest Small Cities in America. Livability, a research organization, rated Flower Mound the best place to live in the Southwest. With just over 80,000 residents, there is a low crime rate, one of the lowest tax rates in North Texas, and, of course, there are award-winning schools.
Third, location, location, location. You cannot be more centrally located with easy access to D/FW International Airport, Grapevine Lake, and Lake Lewisville.
Fourth would have to be community. There are long-standing traditions of Independence Day celebrations, summer concert series, a Christmas Parade, and so much more.
With so many people interested in this area, it can be challenging to find a home, but RE/MAX DFW Associates Realtor, Liz Snowden has one of the best listings we’ve seen in Hidden Valley Country Estates in West Flower Mound.

“You get the country feel with open land, but you are minutes from the nearest grocery store,” Snowden said. “There is so much character here, with old Chicago brick on the outside and lots of Texas-size charm throughout.”

This 4,552-square-foot, six-bedroom, four-and-a-half bathroom custom home is in a secluded park-like setting with towering native Black Jack Oaks and Live Oaks.
With multiple living spaces, three bedrooms up and three down, it’s a perfect home for multi-generational living. The bedrooms on each end of the house, under the peaks, feature living areas. Two walk-in attics upstairs provide plenty of storage.

You’ll be spending most of your time in this backyard retreat, where you can gather around the giant stone fireplace with built-in seating and enjoy the heated saltwater pool and spa. A covered grilling station and playscapes for the kids mean your home is going to be the place where everyone gathers to celebrate and make memories!

Snowden has 3908 Ridgecrest Dr. available for $1.135 million.
