Northwest Dallas Ranch Has Amazing Interiors

Talk about unexpected. This home is the very definition of a sleeper. It looks totally unassuming from the front. Very sedate tan brick, plain hedges and oversized front lawn. It’s a very typical curb view for a traditional post war home built in Northwest Dallas. Just outside Midway Hollow, the Timber Trail area is experiencing a ton of growth. Several lots have creek views from the back, and though you’re right next to Walnut Hill and Marsh, the area feels somewhat isolated. The mature trees keep this area feeling formal and established.

And this home, while it may look very typical from the front, it’s a completely different and totally stylish animal inside. See for yourself after the jump!

See what we mean? There’s so much drama in this home, with gorgeous navy blue accent walls paired with bright, crisp white ceilings and undressed windows. Modern and midcentury furniture mixed with tons of texture and contemporary art make this home feel eclectic yet cohesive.

This home is just perfect, and you can tell that it has had a very loving, attentive owner. Located at 10164 Timber Trail, this three-bedroom, two-bath 1956 bungalow is listed for just $280,000. Go ahead and take a minute to catch your breath, because I know I just took it away.

There are so many great updates, including a beautiful galley kitchen with breakfast area. There are both formals and family room, and the floors are just lovely. You get almost 1,700 square feet, too, which is on the bigger end for homes in this area. And this area is up-and-coming, too, with more investors pouring the dollars into this well-built homes, upgrading the layouts and finishes.

This house, though, is such a work of art. I love the master bedroom and all of the texture. It’s a sharp departure from the rest of the home, which is stark and minimalist. In here you see patterns on the draperies and on the walls, dark colors of a masculine palette. And it works. It absolutely, totally works.

The one bathroom that is included in the listing photos is interesting because it’s practically original to the home, though you can see it’s had a little bit of a facelift done. It has dove gray Daltile, though, which is a sought-after vintage color for original bathrooms. With the pedestal sink there’s no storage to speak of underneath, but there are cabinets for linens and towels.

The backyard is so perfect for someone who just wants a grassy patch to enjoy. There’s a two-car garage in the back, too, which is great for keeping your cars off the street in this area. In all, I love this home. It’s stunning and it’s a wonderful investment, too!
